Bob Seger Wins Performance Of The Year At CMTs



                                                                      







Veteran rocker Bob Seger was awarded the CMT Award for Performance of the Year at last night’s awards show for Turn the Page which he sang with Jason Aldean on CMT Crossroads.


Older, non-country, artists have been know to break through at the video-based awards show in either the Collaborative Video or Performance awards over the years with past recipients including Linda Ronstadt (1988), Bon Jovi (2006 & 2008), Jimmy Buffett (2011) and Lionel Richie (2014).

The big winner for the evening was Carrie Underwood who won for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year (both for Something in the Water) and Collaborative Video (for Somethin’ Bad with Miranda Lambert). Underwood has won the Video of the Year award six times, including each of the last four years and has a total of fourteen awards.
