Last Elvis Presley Studio Album 'Today' Re-released - Another With Michael Bublé Coming In October

Elvis Presley’s final studio album ‘Today’ is new again, via Sony Music to mark the 40th anniversary of the release.

Elvis recorded ‘Today’ in RCA’s Studio C in Hollywood in March 10–12, 1975. It was the same studio Presley recorded “Burning Love” and “Separate Ways”.

Elvis had two more albums after ‘Today’ ‘From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee’ was recorded at his home Graceland and the official album ‘Moody Blue’ featured left-overs from the previous album sessions plus his four final songs.

‘Today’ features covers of Don McLean’s “And I Love You So” and the Pointer Sisters’ “Fairytale”. Elvis performed both songs live in his final concerts.

Priscilla Presley Praises Michael Bublé For Elvis Duet

With thanks to Noise 11

Michael Bublé’s voice gives Priscilla Presley chills.

The American crooner has jumped on board a project that puts a new spin on late singer Elvis’ classic songs, taking on popular track Fever.

His former wife Priscilla worked on the album, If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and opened up about Michael’s important role.

“Michael Bublé came on board and it was so good. He duets with Elvis,” Priscilla explained to ET Online. “My god, Elvis would have loved his voice and his material. It gives me chills because it was so good.”

Tracks on the new record include popular songs like Love Me Tender, Bridge Over Troubled Water and In The Ghetto. Even almost 40 years after his death, Elvis’ songs have been revamped and given a new lease of life.

“This particular version, it’s just so big,” Priscilla smiled. “All the instruments and the voice, it’s quite impactful.”

Joining Michael on the album are musicians including Il Volo and guitarist Duane Eddy. They will join with the booming sounds of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to create a completely unique sound.

The album will be released worldwide on October 30.

“This would be a dream come true for Elvis,” Priscilla previously said in a statement. “He would have loved to play with such a prestigious symphony orchestra. The music. the force that you feel with his voice and the orchestra is exactly what he would have done.”
